I'm in or near my 2nd tri!
Dr appt went well last week, he didn't try for a hb, said next month he'll likely get it for sure, I'm alright with that. He talked about the tri screens, advised against the NT scan, said if we want definitive answers to go straight to amnio. We've sort of discussed it, and I think we're thinking no. The m/c risk of amnio scares me the most, but we have a few weeks to decide.
I've been feeling really well! The past four days, my nausea has all but disappeared, I'm craving apples and navel oranges, I'm expanding, breaking out again, bbs growing, lots of twingy stuff going on, glucs are climbing: kick in placenta!! I'm on 24 units of NPH at night right now, my 2hr pc's are climbing, but I am finding it really hard to get those done, life is really getting in the way, lol! The ones I do check are within range, but they are climbing, I'm blaming it on more carbs, and obviously those placental hormones. I still haven't hit the treadmill, but I do have the best intentions. Two days ago I bought a mat bathing suit, and I see my cottage cheese thighs have kicked in-I normally have nice legs, except when pg;) Oh well, the only one who cares how my legs look is dh, and he made this mess;) He's the only one I need to worry about impressing.
Not much else new here. Kids have been healthy, my sinus infection finally went away, I'm sleeping decently at night. We've gotten lots of snow the past week, so much snow! We just booked a hot vacay today, we're leaving in ten days for a week-its really a vacay for the kids. DH and I had our holiday in Nov, thus getting pg;) This trip is entirely for Nolan to go eat tacos, so Elizabeth can go to "school" at kids camp and wear a cute bathing suit, and for the twins to eat some sand and play in the ocean! I can't wait-they're gonna have so much fun!
