17w3d!

Wow, how cool is it that I'm halfway thru 17 weeks?!!?
Feeling good, really tired in the afternoons and evenings, but I suspect my IR is getting a bit worse.  Last night I upped my night nph to 30 units, and it brought my fasting gluc down again nicely.  I'm not being good at doing 1hr pc's, but the ones I do get are within range, so no meal insulins yet.  I have to get better with checking my supper ones, I'm suspecting those aren't doing as well.

I'm still alt btwn good and bad nights, my reflux has improved some right now, but I'm still waking lots.  I'm feeling the baby move and kick, not terribly consistently, but its very active when I can feel it!  I can't hear with a stethoscope yet, but one of the prek moms is going to find her doppler and lend it to me, so we're thrilled about that!  I'm getting super excited to find out gender on the 21st!  I was even thinking about doing the Drano test today, but I'd have to google that;)

I'm still a bit afraid that something might be wrong on the 21st, just based on age and no testing.  I have to remember that this is not within my control, that we would never terminate anyhow, and that odds are that everything will be fine.  I'm still scared.  I'll be scared until baby is grown and out of my house, this I do know.

Jeremy is getting more excited and trying to feel for kicks, he's really excited when I describe movement as "vibrations", its really sweet.  We're both just so scared to feel the pain that we had with our first lost baby at 14 weeks-but the risk will be worth it!

We had the boys' 2nd party on the 28th "just" the six of us, it was great!  They got spoiled with balloons and cake and lots of presents-what lucky little boys!  They have so many new words each week and are learning to jump, very cute!  Elizabeth might be joining in Nolan's preschool after Easter as one of the 'reverse' kids, preschoolers with good speech and social skills.  I'm  not sure how Nolan will feel about that, but we'll play it by ear.  If it doesn't work, she'll start in September.

Still heard nothing about Jeremy's job transfer.  We should know in April.  The IL's are thrilled and are looking at serving the piece of land we want to build on!  Jeremy told me yesterday that he's getting cold feet, but he has a plan to talk to his parents about : 1-he will not be farming fulltime, that's not why we're moving there and 2-that if we're moving there the IL's need to commit to being there for our kids, more than they are now, esp if we're living across the road from them.  We'll see when he talks to them, I know they'll be receptive to both, but its important that these things are discussed before we get out there, before he accepts a job offer if one comes up.
