I saw my internist yesterday, and I started nph insulin last night. I honestly didn't believe I'd be doing insulin so soon:( Oh well, I'm going to take it one day at a time, whatever keeps my bean ticking:)
I went to the gdm clinic today, I'm on a gdm diet and exercise, in the hopes that I can keep my sugars low and can avoid meal insulin longer. They're 99% certain that I'll be on regular insulin with meals, just don't know when yet. Eventually the pg hormones will muck things up, but I will use diet and exercise and bedtime insulin, and work my hardest to hold off.
With carb counting, and walking, my pc lunch and supper sugars were the lowest they've been in 16 days-so its working right now!! Its nice to feel like I might have a bit of control over what is happening to my body:)
One week from tonight will be our Christmas Eve! I can't wait, the kids will have so much fun!!
It already feels like I've been pg forever, even though I've only known for less than 3 weeks. Maybe its 'cause I've already had 6 doctor appts plus numerous pharmacy visits in that time.
The kids went to a drop in daycare today, dh and I both had important meetings , and no sitter. They had a really good time! Elizabeth thought it was "school" and cried when I took her home!
The workers said that they got the twins mixed up, so they would say to the boys "Okay, now which one is Arthur?" Theodore would pipe up and point to A and yell "Arthur!". LOL, he was even doing it at home after, very cute! The girls said the twins were busy, but pleasant, and could eat alot! That's my boys! Nolan had a nice day, though he did say that preschool is more fun;)
Tomorrow dh is working a 12 hour day, and I have a 9 hour meeting, so the four will be there the whole day. My kids are so easy and laidback. The hardest part is me getting them up and out the door by myself, to be at daycare for 8:15am, but I left all the essentials at daycare today, already pulled out clothes for the am, and daycare said they'll dress them and feed them breakfast--phew! We are so blessed!
