Wow-we made it this far!!!
I had a doc appt today, and he could hear bean's hb! It was fast, but he didn't give me a rate, but its the first time we heard it with the doppler! All four kids were in the room, and they all got quiet when they first heard it. Nolan quietly whispered "Daddy, what's that noise?" Jeremy told him that its our baby's hb, it was wonderful! I've had no spotting or issues with this pg, and I've felt amazing the past three weeks. Back to some fatigue midday, and I'm fighting another dry cough again, but otherwise my appetite is good, no nausea at all, no swelling, no real pains other than a right sided pain when I'm on my side and cough-but I'm wondering if that might be some scar tissue from my previous lap. I had gained 4lbs from wks 5-9, but this month I've stayed the same! I don't want to gain too much this time, it has sure made a difference treating my gdm early. My glucs are good, still only on night nph, bp today was 127/78, so great on two meds! I see my internist this Wednesday.
Dr A gave me a req for the quad screen, and we have to call him this week if we want an amnio. I'm still thinking on it. I am not in control of this, no matter the result of the testing. I could have a perfectly normal fetus, and there is no guarantee that it'll live a healthy life until its 95 years old. This is out of my hands. Jeremy doesn't want testing, but I'm not sure he knows how to vocalize his reasons. I am not in control of this. I need to trust in the process. God has brought our little family and this baby bean so far, He's got a plan for us, I know this. Look at all the wonderful He's given us already.
We had our week in Puerto Vallarta, just got back yesterday. All four kids were seen by a doctor on the 3rd, on our 4th day there. Arthur had a burst ear drum, all four kids had ear infections, Elizabeth found Scarlet Fever somehow, and Arthur also had bronchiolitis, which they wanted to admit him for, but we did IM abx in the room instead. They also saw Dr A today, gave the twins a prn ventolin puffer, said for Nolan to finish his Amoxicillin, but otherwise stop all meds and bring E back in for a po abx if she gets another fever. Of course, since all the kids were sick nobody slept for a week. They ALL slept THRU THE ENTIRE NIGHT last night!! Miracle!!
The kids had a great time at the resort, until they got sick-it was a tough trip, but we really wanted to take them, they were very cute at the beach:)
Oh boy, I had to come back and update, today I had my first pg woman pee herself while coughing episode today for this pregnancy, fun hey?
