5 minute Friday-Quiet

Quiet.  Even though I have five young children, I am lucky to have so many opportunities for quiet in my household.  My kids are at an age that they can play quietly for minutes at a time on their own, not requiring much of me other than mother ear survillance.  The quietest moments are just before bed.  Hubby is asleep beside me, and all I have is the hum of the air purifier and the quiet sounds of sleep in my home.  Next to my bed are my daily readers, my journals, my gratitude journals, and my Bible.  I've also got my phones and ipad by the bed, and that is often where I jot down my gratitudes for the day, or get a chance to read up on other mommy bloggers.  I am so blessed.  I try to take those moments to work on me, Marie the mother and wife.  I use that time to feed my soul with beauty and love and try to carry that throughout my day.  Just as I fall asleep I also have moments of quiet where I recite my Hail Marys, and those are my last thoughts before I wake again.  I'm also fortunate to have at least a half hour each morning, with which I do much of the same again.  Daily readings, prayer, journalling.  Quiet allows me to set the tone for my night and day, what a luxury.  With young kids sometimes quiet can be bad, but its usually good!
Be blessed!
M
