Marriage Challenge

Today's Challenge:
Write down three areas in your marriage that you want to be made beautiful. Maybe areas such as communication, affection, or working together.

I would like our communication to be beautiful.
Let us use kind and soft words to each other, even when we're trying to get a difficult point across.  Let us remember that we are speaking to a son or daughter of God, that God is our father in law!  Let us communicate beautifully, Lord.

I want our friendship to be beautiful.
Help us remember that we were friends, first.  Help us remember to hold hands, to pray together, to compliment each other when we look nice, smell nice, parent well.  Help us be kind and gentle when we are trying to correct hard things that hurt our family.  Let us grow a beautiful friendship again, Lord.

I would like our parenting to be beautiful.
Let us set goals of peace and patience when guiding our children.  Let their childhood feel safe and secure with wonderful memories.  Let our home be a sanctuary of friendship, peace and love.  A place where people flock for understanding and creativity.  Let us create memories with our words, actions, foods, smells and traditions.  Let us create the childhood for our kids that we might have been missing.  Let us parent beautifully together, Lord.
