Friday!!

Grace is undeserved favor. And while it might go unnoticed by man it doesn't go unnoticed by God.

Finally at the end of the day, when all is said and done, he gets the deciding vote. Why? We'll talk more about that one on Monday!
Today's Vow: To Give Up My Need to Be Right
The Challenge: Let your voice be heard, but put down any weapons of warfare. Practice holding your tongue when you're angry and carrying your burdens to prayer.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the gift of marriage. We pray for wives today. May your power fill them full of your confidence! We so often get insecure in our relationships. We doubt the love our husbands have for us, we question motives, and we fear abandonment. May you show us how to trust in our husbands. Help us to be confident in our husbands. We pray that those insecurities and fears would not hinder our marriage, and that they will not cause us to respond in negative ways. Transform us and our mindsets in Jesus name AMEN!

Five Minute Friday-Dive

Hmmm, diving.  I have to think about this for a few seconds as the clock starts ticking.  I dove into marriage head first, not knowing what to expect at all.  Bringing old patterns in with me into my new life as somebody's wife.  I dove into motherhood, fearful but ready.  Hoping that this little person would reflect my accomplishments and goodness as a human being-boy was I wrong!  I dove into Alanon as a way to take those old patterns, which no longer serve me today, and try to reframe them into new perspectives and ideas and solutions.  Sort of like staying out of trouble so not having to deal with the eventual consequences that result.  I am slowing dipping into the role of a wife submitting to God and my husband.  I am diving into the Word of God through bible study and Love Dare devotions which I began in the new year.  Each winter I dive into another work contract, sharing my experience and knowledge with a new group of students.  I dove hesitantly into my Master's program and this year am loving it!  It feels so good to be nearly done!
